Our first bloodhound was called Aust.

We bought her at the famous Oeienboskennels from Louis van der Meeren.

Her pedigree name is Quinta van de Oeienbos but we called her Aust, which means something like

darling, sweetie in Icelandic.

Aust came to live with us at the age of 9 months.

We did a lot of trailing with her, she was great at it. She won every contest in Holland and Belgium you can think about.

Austjes life was nothing but trailing and so became ours for 8 years.

On the 29th of september 2004 Austje died at the good old age of 10,5 years old.

She has had a beautiful life together with us.

Up until a few weeks before she died, she was still trailing on the  Budelse hei.

That is what we call: the way of living for a Bloodhound!!!!
